I had shot from this same angle during sunrise and loved the perspective with the leading lines from the rocks into the Pemaquid lighthouse and decided to make star trails with the same setup. A star trail photograph uses long exposure times to capture diurnal circles, the apparent motion of stars in the night sky due to Earth's rotation.
