New England landscapes that bring wonder home
HI, I'M ERICA!
I'm a New England landscape photographer, sunrise chaser, and self-proclaimed introvert who believes the best cure for an anxious mind is a quiet view.
I first picked up a camera in an introductory photography class in high school and was instantly hooked. Over time, I fell in love with landscapes. There's something so peaceful about a natural landscape, and a photograph lets you hold onto that feeling and return to it whenever you need it.
I never planned to share my photos. Then, in October 2021, with the help of my mom, I did my first market in my hometown. Sharing my process and connecting with people was a real shock for an introvert like me, and a joy. From there came my first SOWA market, and now you'll find my work in markets and galleries throughout New England.
Why I do This
So many of us move through our days from one call, deadline, and notification to the next. I make art for those days. A print on your wall can be a small, steady reminder to pause, breathe, and come back to yourself, because your peace is your superpower.
When I'm not in New England, you'll find me chasing sunrises with my mom and sister in Florida or capturing landscapes around the world. I'm always looking for new moments of wonder, and I can't wait to share them with you.
WHAT MATTERS TO ME MOST
LEAVE NO TRACE
Leave the world as you found it so others can enjoy it. The only things I leave behind are footprints; the only things I take are photos.
BE PRESENT & OPEN
Being judgemental is a waste of time. Life is better when you live in the moment and open yourself up to new people and experiences.
THERE IS NO "RIGHT WAY"
Photography, and art in general, is an opportunity to be creative. There’s no “right angle” to take a photo; it’s limitless.
FAMILY & CONNECTION
Photography has allowed me to connect with people when I knew no one and my family has always been my biggest supporters. I’m thankful for these two things every day.
And, of course, sunrises! For a moment, it feels like you are the only one in the world, and the colors are coming out just for you. It’s a new day. Anything is possible.
